AI Engineer – Data Science Specialist

Dogma Group is seeking an AI/ML Engineer specialising in computer vision and data science to develop cutting-edge AI applications. In this role, you'll transform complex business questions into technical solutions and deliver actionable insights through advanced machine learning & computer vision techniques and data science methodologies. Experimentation and innovation will be central to your work in this hybrid role that leverages both data infrastructure expertise and analytical prowess.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimise state-of-the-art machine learning models, computer vision systems and deep learning models for classification, object detection, segmentation, and visual pattern recognition
- Implement and customise modern vision architectures (CNNs, Transformers, diffusion models) to solve complex visual data challenges
- Create robust data pipelines for data processing, augmentation, and feature extraction
- Develop data science solutions that combine computer vision with other data modalities for comprehensive insights
- Build, train, validate, and deploy end-to-end machine learning and computer vision models
- Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and opportunities for optimisation
- Design and implement image processing algorithms and feature extraction techniques
- Implement robust evaluation metrics and A/B testing frameworks for computer vision systems
Required Skills/Competencies
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in AI engineering with significant focus on computer vision and data science
- Proven expertise in developing and deploying computer vision systems for real-world applications
- Experience with modern deep learning frameworks for vision tasks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Demonstrated experience in leveraging Generative AI models, such as GPT, and LLMs for business applications and projects, including content creation, natural language understanding, and automated decision-making.
- Proficiency with computer vision libraries and tools (OpenCV, scikit-image, PIL/Pillow, torch vision)
- Strong data science skills for visual data analysis and processing
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision or related field
- Advanced Python programming skills with expertise in NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn
- Strong software engineering practices: Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, Git, Docker
- Knowledge of cloud-based ML/CV pipelines on platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex visual data insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
