And yet another round of Salesforce releases is upon us! We’re here to keep you on your toes and fill you in on what’s to come for Salesforce Winter ‘25. Make sure to mark these important dates in your calendar so you don’t miss out.
August 8: Sign Up for a Pre-Release Org
Salesforce granted early access to a Developer Edition environment that allows you to explore all the Winter ’25 features in a stand-alone environment where you can learn and test the new functionality. If you signed up for the Summer ’24 release, you could continue using that same pre-release org.
August 14: Review the Release Notes
Release Notes are available, where you can search for updates related to the products you use. If you haven’t already, check the Release Readiness Trailblazer Community Group for more detailed insights, discussions, shared favourite features, and any answers to your questions.
August 19: Be Release Ready
Starting August 19, the Admin Blog began publishing posts focused on Winter ’25 features for Admins. These include highlights and best practices to help you make the most of the release. Do drop by the Be Release Ready page for all the essential resources and information to help you with the new update.
August 30: Sandbox Preview Begins
The sandbox preview for Winter ’25 began on August 30, allowing admins to test the new features in their sandbox environment without affecting your live system. Now is a great time to review Release Updates in Setup to activate improvements that enhance your org’s performance, security, and usability.
October 8-11: Release Readiness Live
Tune in to Release Readiness Live on Salesforce+ between October 8 and 11 to hear directly from product managers. They’ll demo the most impactful Winter ’25 features and answer your questions live.
September 6, October 4, October 12: Winter ’25 Official Release
Check the Maintenance Calendar to see when your Salesforce org will receive the Winter ’25 update. Depending on your instance (NA__, EMEA__), your production environment will receive the update on September 6, October 4, or October 12. After your release window, you’ll have access to all the new features in your live environment.
