In Dynamics 365, the dashboard is used to monitor business performance. CRM data and reports are often shown in the dashboard to provide a quick and easy overview of current business performance using charts, graphs, and maps.
To hide the system dashboard from CRM, you need to have the Security Role of the system admin. Let’s get started with the steps that are needed to hide the dashboard from Dynamics 365.
First, complete the login process to get into the CRM of your organization. Fill in a valid Email and password to login as shown in the figure below:
After logging in, click on Setting>Customization>Customize the system as shown in the figure below:
After clicking on the Customize the System, the below window appears. Click on the Dashboard, to bring out the list on the dashboard as shown in the figure below.
Then select the dashboard which you want to hide. Click on ‘Enable Security Role‘.
When you click on the ‘Enable Security Role‘, the below window will appear. Change Assign Security Role into Display only to these selected security roles. Also, make sure to uncheck the security roles for whom you wanted to hide the dashboard. Then click ‘OK‘.
After clicking ‘OK‘ , save the changes and click on the ‘Publish‘ button by selecting the dashboard where all the changes were made, and click on the ‘Save and Close‘ button:
The changes will reflect in the CRM upon publishing.
These are the steps to be followed for hiding the Dashboard in CRM. This is helpful for all those who need system admin to hide the Dashboard in CRM if required to do so.
