Access employee leave and absence in Teams for Dynamics 365 Human Resources (merged infrastructure)
Public Preview Oct 2023
Are your employees struggling to manage their time-off balances and leave requests efficiently? Do they find it time-consuming to switch between different systems or fill out paper forms?
In the Teams environment, as part of the merged Dynamics 365 Human Resources infrastructure, Microsoft has made it effortless for your employees to access their time-off balances and submit leave requests. This feature simplifies the process by eliminating the need to navigate between various platforms or deal with traditional paperwork.
Employees can now swiftly review their time-off balances and request leaves directly within Microsoft Teams. This streamlined approach removes any guesswork when requesting leave. It’s a seamless experience, given that Teams is already the central hub for collaboration. Additionally, managers gain the capability to promptly address leave requests that require their attention, right within Teams. The app is intricately woven into the Human Resources system, providing employees with real-time updates on the status of their leave requests.
This merged feature significantly improves transparency and efficiency within your organisation. Employees benefit from the convenience of managing their leave right where they collaborate daily. By eliminating unnecessary back-and-forth and paperwork, it saves valuable time and effort. Plus, it enhances overall transparency across your workforce, making leave management easier and more efficient.
Overall, these benefits contribute to more efficient leave management, increased productivity, and a smoother workflow within the organisation, ultimately resulting in a positive impact on the business’s bottom line.
More About the Dynamics 365 HR Infrastructure Merger
The Dynamics 365 HR infrastructure merger aims to bring the standalone HR application onto the Finance and Operations infrastructure, thereby, eliminating the need for two separate infrastructures. This helps customers gain the benefits of the enhanced features and functionality of Dynamics 365 Human Resources, as well as the integration and compatibility with Finance & Operations apps.
|Stand-alone Dynamics 365 HR||No impact from the infrastructure merge. Can continue to use their existing licences and environments without any change. |
|D365 Finance & Operations HR module||Can also continue to use their existing licences until February 2025 or until their current licensing agreement lasts, whichever comes earlier, at which point they will need to migrate to the Dynamics 365 Human Resources licences.|
|Both||Will be able to consolidate their HR data and processes into one environment but will need to migrate their licences from the legacy HR module to D365 Human Resources before February 2025.|
